Welcome to the College of Trades

We offer skill-based education courses with hands-on classroom instructions to prepare students to be business leaders and workers of highly-skilled careers. 

Our skill trades courses are classed in various categories: Allied Physical Health, Craftsmen & Residential Trades,  Technical Specialties, Urban Missions, and Continuing Education Courses.   

Some of the courses may lead to internship or apprenticeship combined with on-the-job training. Other courses may lead to the start of a new business depending upon each students decision of a career field.

Book Keeper

Book-Keeping/
Accounting Clerk

(Three Months Course Program)
Bookkeeping is the process of recording all financial transactions made by a business. Bookkeepers are responsible for recording, classifying, and organizing every financial transaction of business operations made.

Video/ Audio Production &
Editing

(Three to Nine Months Course Program - Part 1 & 2 & 3)
The Video and Audio Production and Editing education course includes editing, screenwriting, cinematography, lighting, visual effects, industry practices and regulations, from concept to finished product.

Early Childhood Education & Development

(Three to Nine Months Course Program - Part 1 & 2 & 3) The study of 5 specific areas of child development : motor and physical, cognitive, social and emotional, communication, and adaptive abilities. This study includes child development, child behavior is monitored through multiple child development stages – from baby development up until adolescence. This course includes critical thinking, research, analysis, communications, and lesson planning. This education prepares employees or business owners for academic or clinical positions in the public or private sector.

Introduction to Personal Computing & Processing

(Three to Six Months Course Program - Part 1 & 2) Introduction to personal computers Windows and Microsoft Suite word processing software. This course will prepare students to perform tasks including starting applications, creating folders, copying and moving files, and personalizing Windows.

Certified Nurse & Medical Assistance

(Three to Six Month Course Program - Part 1 & 2)
CNA and Medical Assistant course education will teach and train students to perform personal care tasks for patients ranging from daily grooming and bathing to checking vitals or assisting a Registered Nurse in a office or residential setting taking a patient’s vitals and collecting specimens to handling insurance and billing tasks.

Beginners & Intermediate Carpentry - Residential

(Three to Six Months Course Program - Part 1 & 2)
Carpentry building course education teaches student to plan and read a blue print and basic measurements, to use hand tools and wood cutting machinery, to cut and erect studs for walls and ceilings, to frame floors, windows, and door openings, to assemble roofs and eaves, cover house with wood sheeting, and build according to Georgia state regulations and national building codes.
